Eddie Hanks, Debbie Hanks,Danny Milner, and Jasey Davis
make up the traditional bluegrass sound in this newly formed
band.
Eddie has been playing guitar and mandolin since he was about 7
years old. He began playing in his father's band called Texas
Grass then moved on to play in Southern Union in 1992. He and
his wife, Debbie, helped form the band Cedar Creek in 2007
before it was renamed Music Mountain in 2008. For the past
four years, Eddie has concentrated mainly on his banjo pickin'.
Debbie is his wife, and before she met Eddie she had not had any
experience with bluegrass. She enjoyed singing in church and
school choirs, and she also sang with an a Capella group while
attending Texas Tech University in 1987. Eddie began teaching
her how to play the bass in 2004 and states that he has "created a
monster" now! This couple lives in Seymour, Texas.
Danny began playing guitar as a young boy. His family was
extremely musical, and he tells of many songs his mama would sing
to him as a child. His daddy was an evangelical pastor, so they
traveled quite a bit singing and playing throughout the South. He
has also performed on live radio programs as part of his family's
ministry. He makes his home with his wife in Iowa Park, Texas.
Jasey started taking classical violin lessons in 1999 at the age of 6.
By the time she turned 9, she had lost all interest in violin and
began focusing more on playing the piano. It wasn't until the
spring of 2005, while attending her first bluegrass festival, did a
"spark" for the fiddle begin. Two years later, she was playing with
the band Coldwater Creek and recording her first CD "Fiddlin'
at Fifteen." In 2008 her family moved to North Texas. Jasey's
desire is to use the musical abilities, which God has given her, to
glorify Him.
